We respect your privacy. Most tools run entirely in your browser - your data never leaves your device.
Local-first, nothing uploaded. iToolsPro is a collection of online tools. The vast majority of them (character counter, JSON formatter, GIF maker, image compressor, etc.) perform all computation locally in your browser - the content you enter is never uploaded to our servers. This policy explains how we handle data in the few cases where the server is involved, and the rights you have.
We collect as little as possible. Specifically:
Feedback is used to improve the tools; server logs for operations, security and troubleshooting; analytics to understand usage and performance. We do not use this information to serve you personalized advertising.
This is the core design of iToolsPro. Except when you actively submit feedback, all computation (formatting, compressing, generating, converting, etc.) happens in your browser. Files you load into a tool page (images, GIFs) are not sent to our servers and are cleared from memory when you refresh or close the browser.
We use Baidu Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (page views, visit duration, approximate geography) to improve the service. It may use cookies or similar technologies. You can disable cookies via your browser settings, enable "Do Not Track" (DNT), or install a content blocker to prevent this collection. Beyond analytics, we do not serve ads or perform cross-site tracking on your device.
We use the following third-party services:
Other than the above, we do not sell or share your personal information with any third party.
Feedback is retained for a reasonable period or until you request deletion; server logs are typically deleted after a short period; analytics data is retained by Baidu Analytics per its policy. Local storage persists in your browser until you clear browser data.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data submitted to the server (such as feedback). However, no internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure. Because most tool data never leaves your device, your sensitive information is protected by design.
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise these rights, contact us via the feedback page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to: know (the categories of personal information we collect), delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
We do not sell or share your personal information, so no "Do Not Sell" opt-out is required. Exercising these rights will not result in discrimination. Please submit requests via the feedback page.
Because we use Baidu Analytics (whose servers may be in China) and cloud hosting, some of your data (such as anonymous analytics, server logs) may be processed in China or other countries. Where required by applicable law, we put appropriate safeguards in place. Since tool data does not leave your device, cross-border transfer typically does not apply.
This site is intended for general users, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected any, please contact us to delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post it on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will note them via a page notice.
For any questions about this privacy policy or your data rights, contact us via the feedback page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
